
The Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts or FAMU is fifth oldest film school in the world. Located in Prague, Czech Republic, FAMU was founded in 1947 as one of three branches of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. FAMU is divided into 11 departments. It is a founding member of CILECT (World association of film schools), of the European League of Institutes of Arts (ELIA), and of the European Association of Cinema and Television Schools GEECT.

BUTTERFLY GIRL
Six-year-old Viktorka tries to understand the complex relationships in her family. At the same time, she prepares for her sibling to be born and the first day of school. Her optimism, playfulness and imagination help her overcome all challenges. The camera also adheres to the child’s perspective, in which every day is full of small miracles.

FATHERS
The early 20th century, a rural village. Lída, a young housewife, is suddenly confronted with the emptiness of her marriage after the death of her illegitimate daughter. To allow herself to grieve, she must face her own past and find the strength within herself to forgive.

MURMUR
The animated documentary explores life with tinnitus, a symptom that affects approximately one in seven Europeans. As respondents’ testimonies describe their experience, animated characters listen and react by embodying sounds of tinnitus. They whistle endlessly, like the endless struggle with an unsolvable problem in both healthcare and science.
