Hen, directed by György Pálfi, tells the unusual story of a chicken that escapes from an industrial farm and begins a journey through the surrounding countryside in search of a safe place to lay her eggs. Observing the world largely from the animal’s perspective, the film becomes a darkly humorous and poignant reflection on survival, freedom, and the relationship between humans and animals. Blending realism with subtle absurdity, Pálfi creates a unique cinematic fable about vulnerability and resilience.
