Which partner schools outside the Visegrad region will participate VFF this year?

The selection of partner schools from Visegrad region will be completed with Sahara Lab, UNATC Bucharest, KNUTCT Kiev and BFM Tallinn. 

Sahara Lab

After identifying interested and committed emerging film and media makers, Sahara Lab provides an immersive set of workshops to develop stories for screens that are accessible to audiences both within Morocco and a larger international viewership. Makers are encouraged to develop stories that engage audiences to explore further issues of identity and culture that celebrates a vibrant people. While these workshops are intensive and demanding, Sahara Lab’s methods lead to bringing inexperienced mediamakers. Accepting people from differing backgrounds and skill levels, the workshops teach storytellers how to combine technical and aesthetic aspects of storytelling, beginning with the basics of converting ideas to moving images and sounds and moving through to a fully developed process of production and postproduction including providing production and producing expertise. 



The Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University is one of the oldest higher educational institutions in the art education sphere, which in September 2004 celebrated 100th anniversary of its existence.It is the national university specializing exclusively in performing arts and located in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. There is dramatic art faculty, institute of the screenful arts and sixteen departments. Studying at the institute of Cinema and Television, the students become future specialties such as animated cartoon film director, TV guides and programme planners, television director, sound director, cinema and television cameramen, cinema study specialists, cinema managers and executive producers.


BFM Tallinn

Baltic Film, Media, Arts and Communication School (BFM) is a competence centre for communication and audio visual knowledge and expertise. At BFM you can study at the Bachelor's, Master's and PhD level, in Estonian and English. At BFM you can obtain a wide-based education in an international environment. BFM study programmes offer tools and skills for working on various positions in film production, TV, new media, communication, choreography, art and music.


UNATC Bucharest

National University of Theatre and Film I.L. Caragiale or UNATC is a public university in Bucharest, Romania. In 1954, the two institutions merge into the Institute of Theatre and Film I.L. Caragiale (IATC). The Institute will function under this name until 1990, when it will become the Academy of Theatre and Film (ATF). Since 1990, the Academy of Theatre and Film has undergone a continuous reform process. Now, the UNATC has two faculties – Theatre and Film Faculty. The Film Faculty has four departments at bachelor degree and one department at master´s degree.
