Visegrad Film Forum is an upcoming project organized by the Student Film Festival Áčko.

 

VFF will be happening at The Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava from 19th to 22nd October 2011 (best arrival at 18th and departure at 23rd).

The basic idea of VFF is to cross borders in the field of culture and strengthen the cooperation in the creation of audiovisual works between the Visegrad and other European countries, especially in the film industry. You can meet here students from FAMU Prague (Czech Republic), SZFE Budapest (Hungary), PWSFTviT Lodz (Poland) or Andrzej Wajda Film School Warsaw (Poland) and host school is FTF VŠMU Bratislava (Slovakia). We are open for all film students who like to networking with others!

The topic is „The future of European film co-production“. The program consists of eight master classes of European professionals from audiovisual industry and other accompanying cultural events.Our guests will be well known polish director Krzysytof Zanussi, Slovak cinematographer Igor Luther, documentary-maker Peter Kerekes, American screenwriter, producer and director Allison Argo, CEO of EastWest Filmdistribution Sasha Wieser from Austria, Czech documentary-makers duo Filip Remunda & Vít Klusák, presentation of scriptwriting workshop MIDPOINT or Hungarian editor Réka Lemhényi.

The chief organizer is the Film and Television faculty of Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and the third-year students of Production and distribution of film arts and multimedia.
