Vit Klusak & Filip Remunda

Provocative Documentary-making

Except for Czech Dream, Klusak and Remunda collaborated on mid-length film Merry Christmas, Bosnia! (Vánoce v Bosně, 2008) – the report on a bizarre Christmas concert of Czech popstars for soldiers in Bosnia and on feature-length project Czech Peace (Český mír, 2010) – a docu-comedy about US plans to build a radar base in the Czech Republic's Brdy military zone. This energetic and lively report on supporters and opponents of the base has brought pair to public attention once again confirming their position as artists who place personal style on their work.

In the year 2003 Klusak and Remunda set up in Prague Hypermarket Film, an independent production company involved in developing documentaries (e.g. Slovak documentary film Osadne (2009) by Marko Skop) and fictional films (e.g. topical Czech comedy Nothing against Nothing (Nic proti nicemu, 2011) by Petr Marek) and in producing documentary series for the Czech Television – Documentary Women's Day (Burianův den žen).

In addition, Filip Remunda is a co-founder of the Institute of Documentary Film (IDF), organisation focused on in-depth development support and international promotion of East European documentary films.
